Arnaud Tonus returned to the MXGP series in 2017 and made his presence known as he consistently slotted into the top ten in the competitive division. Tonus continued to progress each week and eventually claimed a popular victory at the Grand Prix of Switzerland, much to the delight of his fans in attendance, so is eager to spend more time on the podium in 2018. ‘4’ has proven that he is capable of that on multiple occasions.
Arnaud’s professional career started in 2007 when he defended his country for the first time with team Switzerland at the MXoN. The year after that he joined the FIM Motocross World Championship MX2 at Saint Jean D’Angely in France.
After 7 years in the MX2 class, Arnaud decided to spin his career in a different direction. The Swiss rider moved to the USA and for the next two seasons he would be racing the prestigious AMA Supercross Championship. Tonus rejoined the FIM World Championship in 2017 and finished 12th overall in the MX1 class.
Arnaud is a racer who likes the hard, fast tracks and that’s why Matterley Basin is his all-time favourite track!
