Entering the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP squad as a world champion in 2022, Maxime Renaux was excited to start his second term in the premier division. Renaux romped to the MX2 title in the 2021 FIM Motocross World Championship – he had five Grand Prix victories and ended the year with an advantage of 124 points. Not one to settle, he immediately turned his attention to the YZ450FM and was eager to replicate that success at the very highest level. Although the challenge ahead of him was mountainous, he had already proven that he has the skillset to reach the very top. Renaux won the MXGP of Spain in 2022 and ended 4th in the World Championship. In 2023 he will battle the Championship on the all new YZ450 2023.
